The practice of stillness

Where most yoga moves,
Yin stays.

Yin yoga is the quiet counterweight to a fast, full life. You hold each gentle posture for several minutes, breathing into the deep connective tissue — fascia, ligaments, joints — that dynamic practice never quite reaches.

In that stillness, something else happens too. The mind slows. Held emotion loosens. The nervous system, so used to bracing, finally exhales. For sensitive, stressed and overstimulated people, it can be the most healing hour of the week.

Who it's for

Especially if you carry your stress quietly

Yin is profound for people whose minds rarely switch off. If any of these sound like you, this is your practice:

AnxietyBurnoutEmotional overwhelmOverthinkersHighly sensitive peopleChronic stressPoor sleepA nervous system that won't switch off

Emotional balance

Stillness lets held feelings surface and soften, instead of staying stuck in the body.

Stress release

Long, supported holds signal deep safety to the nervous system.

Nervous-system regulation

Down-regulate from constant alertness into genuine rest and repair.

Deep flexibility

Gentle, sustained stretch reaches the connective tissue active practice can't.

Honest answers

Settling in

How is Yin different from regular yoga?
Instead of moving through poses, you settle into a handful of floor postures and hold each for three to five minutes. The stillness works the deep connective tissue — and, just as importantly, the mind. It's the most restful hour of most people's week.
When does it run?
Live every Saturday, 7:40–8:40 AM IST — a slow, intentional start to the weekend.
Is it physically easy then?
Physically gentle, yes. But staying still and present for several minutes can be its own quiet challenge — which is exactly where the healing is.
I'm not flexible or calm at all. Right place?
The right place precisely. Yin meets tight, busy, overwhelmed bodies and minds where they are, and gently shows them how to let go.

Let your body do
nothing, beautifully.
