The story of how I lost myself for a decade — and how the practice I now teach gave me back.
I left home young, chasing opportunity. On paper, life looked fine: new city, new job, new adventures. Underneath, loneliness had quietly become my roommate.
Sleep went first. Then eating habits. Then — before I could connect the dots — I had collected a full set of modern ailments: bloating, migraines, exhaustion, like loyalty rewards for a life lived on autopilot. I tried to fix it, of course. Gym memberships. Clean-eating phases that lasted exactly one bad week. I even did asanas and called it yoga, not really knowing what yoga was. And every time life threw something new at me — a promotion, a heartbreak, a layoff — my efforts dissolved. Rinse, repeat, for nearly a decade.
By my early thirties, I had ten extra kilos, fifteen years of night shifts behind me, and a different pain greeting me every morning.

Almost accidentally, I got serious about yoga — not the Instagram kind. The kind that asks uncomfortable questions and waits patiently for honest answers.
I lost nine kilos without touching my diet. But that was almost beside the point. What I actually lost was the version of me that was constantly reacting, shrinking, numbing. What I found was stillness. Clarity. Myself.
"My classes aren't about perfect poses or performance. They're about coming home to yourself — one breath at a time."

Five years of teaching later, I can tell you this transformation isn't unique to me — I've watched it happen quietly in my students too.
The shift always begins the same way: someone arrives looking for physical relief and leaves discovering something far deeper. Yoga, as I practise and teach it, heals holistically — physically, physiologically, psychologically and spiritually. My teaching holds an internationally accredited RYS-200 certification, and is rooted in equal parts lived experience and rigorous study.
If you've tried the surface-level version and felt like something was still missing — you were right. Something was.
A new city, a demanding career, fifteen years of night shifts — and a slow, unnoticed decline in health, sleep and self.
Got serious about real yoga. Lost nine kilos without dieting — and found the stillness and clarity that had been missing for years.
Started sharing the practice that changed everything — and watched the same quiet transformation begin in others.
RYS-200 internationally accredited, 100+ students guided across the world, teaching face, body, breath, mind and spirit as one practice.
